Baidu is still the biggest search engine in China. Sogou tripled its market share (5% search engine market share in 2018) and became to the 2nd search engine. This should thanks to its cooperation with browsers (such as QQ browser), websites (such as Zhihu) and App (such as WeChat).
Sogou replaced 360(Haosou), is the second search engine on desktop, taking 31% market share. So if you target desktop traffic, Sogou should be included your marketing plan.
Compared to 2018, Baidu achieved more market share on mobile end. Shemma (owned by Alibaba) is still the second search engine on mobile, but hold only 7% market share in 2019.
