Undoubtedly, showing the site logo in the search result page will enhance the performance of your website. But not all webmasters know how to add site logo to Baidu.
With our experience, below are 2 common methods to add your site logo.
Method 1. Baidu Webmaster tool (WMT)
Go to https://ziyuan.baidu.com and register the Baidu Webmaster tool account for your website. You will need to verify your ownership like Google console (we don’t go details about verification in this article.)
Once you verified your website, on the left menu of your website, select “站点属性” (Site Attributes), you will find the option to upload the site logo to for website.
Click the submit button (提交), you will get the path to upload the site logo image.
Make sure the site logo image file follows the rule of Baidu. Once it been approved, your site logo will appear in Baidu’s search result.
Method 2.
The above method looks quite straightforward, right? But unfortunately, this option is not open to all websites.
For new websites, very likely your “站点属性” (Site Attributes) page will like this.
The submit button is unclickable, which means your website is not qualified to add site logo.
In this case, you can apply SEO to improve your site authority until your website is qualified by Baidu, but this normally takes time.
To add site logo in a short time, you can take advantage of Baidu’s paid product “Official website certification”.
Maybe you have noticed that some website list in Baidu search result page is marked by the blue words “官网”(official site) like below.
This used to be a free product of Baidu to highlight the official site for users. But now it is a paid product. With that product, you will be able to mark your site as the official site for your brand keywords. And at the same time, you can add your site logo. The only difference is that, if you set site logo via Baidu’s paid product “Official website certification”, then it only valid 1 year. You need to renew the “Official website certification” every year to keep your site logo online.
